Bank of England warns Solvency II changes increase risk of insurer failure

The Bank of England has issued a stark warning over the government’s planned overhaul of the Solvency II capital rules, telling an influential body of MPs that the proposed changes will lead to a higher chance of insurance firms collapsing.
